Vijay assumed office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu a few months ago. Lacking an absolute majority, he formed the government with the support of parties that had been in alliance with the DMK prior to the election. Subsequently, several MLAs resigned from the AIADMK and joined the TVK. This led to intensifying criticism that Vijay was engaging in horse-trading in Tamil Nadu.
