In September 2025, the administration of the Palani Murugan Temple in Dindigul district acquired a 1.4-acre plot of land—valued at ₹100 crore and belonging to the Dandapani Swamigal Mutt—which is currently being used as a free parking area. On July 6 of this year, the land was registered in the names of two individuals.
