A petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court claiming that the Taj Mahal—one of the wonders of the world—was originally a Shiva temple known as ‘Tejo Mahalaya’. Upon hearing the petition, the High Court has sought a response from the Central Government and the Archaeological Survey of India.
