In Chennai, the 2026–27 budget of the Greater Chennai Corporation will be tabled today at the historic Ripon Building. Mayor R. Priya is scheduled to present the budget at 11 a.m. The discussion on the budget proposals will take place on the 20th of this month. Last year, the civic body’s total budget outlay stood at ₹8,404 crore.
