Vijay was fined Rs. 1.50 crore for concealing an income of Rs. 15 crore from his earnings for the film Puli. In the hearing of the appeal petition filed by Vijay against this, the court has ruled that the fine imposed on Vijay was justified. Meanwhile, the Madras High Court has granted Vijay permission to approach the appellate tribunal.
