New low pressure: The Meteorological Department has announced the formation of a new low-pressure area over the Arabian Sea. This system, which has developed in the southwestern Arabian Sea, is expected to intensify further over the next 24 hours. Consequently, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across the Western Ghats region in Tamil Nadu.
