Low Pressure: The India Meteorological Department has stated that a new low-pressure area is likely to form near the Andaman region on the 13th of this month. However, it also indicated that there is a low probability of this system intensifying into a depression. The department had previously announced that the Northeast Monsoon would commence between the 15th and the 21st.
