CM Vijay hoisted the national flag at the Independence Day celebrations held yesterday at Fort St. George in Chennai. During the event, Dharmaraj, a police officer from Thoothukudi who had come to play a musical instrument, collapsed and passed away. Following this, Chief Minister Vijay offered his condolences to the officers family and ordered the provision of ₹30 lakh in relief assistance.
