The Central Government has released ₹4,466 crore as the tax share for Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu is included in the list of 28 states for which the Central Government has released tax share funds. Among the states, the highest amounts released were ₹19,208 crore to Uttar Pradesh, ₹10,845 crore to Bihar, and ₹8,010 crore to Madhya Pradesh
