Eight individuals, including an Assistant Commissioner and a priest, have been suspended in connection with the theft of temple hundi (offering box) funds at the Koniamman Temple in Coimbatore. This suspension action was taken following orders from Ramesh, the Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments.
